A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Cody received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina, where he majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science. While attending USC, Cody joined the Army National Guard in 2016. Shortly after graduating, he deployed overseas for a year in 2019.
After returning home, Cody worked in the mortgage industry before deciding to pursue a career in law. He attended the Charleston School of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Veterans in Law Society. After earning his Juris Doctor, Cody was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and began his legal career practicing insurance defense with Clarkson Walsh & Crudup Law. His experience representing insurance companies provided him with valuable insight into how claims are evaluated and defended, experience he now brings to his work advocating for injured individuals at Pracht Injury Lawyers.
Outside of the office, Cody enjoys traveling, following sports, playing golf, and maintaining an active lifestyle. He also enjoys spending time with his fiancée and their two yellow Labrador retrievers.
